Glossier Lip Gloss – 5/5

Glossier in general gives me that ‘you but less dead’ look. Super happy with everything I’ve tried, and I particularly love this lip balm!

Super nourishing and the red one just gives a lovely flush of colour that makes me look healthy.
I would definately buy again, even with the price tag. One thing that I would note though, is that there is no need to buy more than one, as the colour is very sheer and therefore there is no real, noticeable difference between shades.

With this in mind though, I would recommend the red as it does give a healthy tint to the lips.

Painter’s Palette Sample Beauty – 4/5

Love this palette! All of the shades are lovely and pigmented and the colours are so unique. The price was also really good, especially considering the quantity.
The shimmers were amazingly creamy and bright, and I would definately recommend this if you want to go out of your comfort zone!

Despite pretty much every shade in the palette looking amazing, and searching well, when I tried the yellow shade on my eyea I was quite disappointed, as it had to be built up a lot to get to a stage where it looked noticeably ‘yellow.’

This was really disappointing as it was one of the shades I was looking forward to the most.

W7 Total Eclipse Palette – 5/5

I loved the W7 Total Eclipse! The glitters and the matts are both so soft, and the colours are georgous!
I loved the Huda Mercury Retrograde palette but couldn’t justify the price – this is a perfect dupe, and created such lovely and unique eyelooks.
The packaging is also really cute, and I can’t wait to play around with this some more!

Glossier Haloscope in Quartz – 4/5

I like how natural this looks for a no makeup look. It doesn’t highlight the texture of my skin, and is easier to apply and blend in.
Saying this, I feel that this product only works if you are after a very natural look, as it really doesn’t add much of a highlight at all – it really is for a no makeup makeup look.
Due to the price and the fact that it is so natural looking I wouldn’t buy again, but I will definately use for very natural looking days.

Revlon Ultra Matte Lip Mousse – 3/5

This product was pretty nice and comfortable on my lips when I first applied, but it doesn’t dry down completely, and after about an hour began to feel less comfortable. It also looks very different on me than it does in the tube.
The price was good, and if I was looking for a pink I would probably chose this, but I wouldn’t buy this particular colour again as I cannot see myself wearing it very much.

The shade I purchased was Death Valley.

MAC Fix+ Magic Radiance – 4/5

On the one hand this definately made my skin look a lot more radiant. On the other I have dry skin, and I’m just not used to seeing makeup looking as luminous on me, and I’m not sure I like it.
I would definitely not recommend for people with oily skin, because I feel like the shine would probably be too much. I also feel like it might be highlighting some of my skin texture, which again is a no for me.
Saying this, it does do what it says on the label – it has set my makeup and made me look glowy – just more than I was expecting, especially when considering that I am only wearing the glossier haloscope which is a very natural looking highlight.
As for whether I would recommend to people with normal to dry skin, I would, as long as you really are looking for a dewy spray.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Matte Lipsticks -2/5

Just tried these Bourjois Rouge Edition Matte Lipsticks.
The colours I have were bought in a set , with the colours ‘Belle amourose,’ Oraginal,’ ‘Berry Chic,’ ‘Chocolate corset’ and ‘Floribeige’ with the set being on sale for £6. Having now tried them I wish I hadn’t bought them.
I have tried on 3 of the shades, and found that they all were pretty patchy upon first application, and that I had to play around with them a bit to work, and as such these are the only lipsticks I own where I feel that I feel I would NEED a lip liner to make them work.
They also don’t dry down completely, and feel a bit ‘sticky’ after application, which in my book shouldn’t happen with a matt lipstick.
Overall I definately would not recommend, and wish I hadn’t bought them, even on sale. I have only given the 2 stars because I like colours of the three I have tried on, or else it would have been a 1 star.
