Huda Beauty Demi Matt – Day Slayer 4.5/5

This colour is one of those ‘my lips but better’ colours for me. I love a matt look but hate that a lot of other matte liquid lips make my lips sooo dry and emphasise the lines on my lips. This was excellent as it dosen’t settle into my lines, and is comfortable. It was also really easy to apply.

Saying this, I would definitely say that the finish is less a traditional ‘matte,’ and much more a sort of ‘slightly more glossy than satin’ formula.

Overall I do enjoy it, but it is very different to what I was expecting. As such I don’t think I can give it a 5 star as I don’t think that it should have ‘matte’ in the name at all, as to me it wears much more like a standard lip cream. Other than this though, I do like the product, so I guess 4.5 is the only way to go – just make sure you aren’t expecting a traditional matte lip.

Keys Soulcare Comforting Balm – 4/5

I received this product complimentary from Influenster and Keys Soulcare in return for honest review/feedback.

Unlike my face, I don’t tend to suffer from particular dry skin on my body, so I will be using this exclusively as a lip balm. The first thing to say is that the packaging is beautiful, and feels very luxurious to use. The balm also smells really nice, and hydrates my lips. One point to note is that the size is perfect for lip balm, however I feel that it would go very quickly if you were use all over the body, especially at £10 a go. Saying this, it is comparable if not cheaper than other higher end skin balms. Overall, I like this product, but I do find that it is a little bit harder to apply and I don’t think I would pay £10 for something that I will only be using as a lip balm when there are so many other good products I could buy for cheaper. Saying that, I feel very lucky to have received this for free and will really enjoy how bougie I feel using it!

Illamasqua Artistry Palette ‘Electrify’ – 3/5

I really love Illamasqua highlighters so thought I’d try an eyeshadow palette, but so far I’ve felt pretty disappoint. I find that it doesn’t pack the punch that I want in a colourful palette, and I feel that this just doesn’t unless it is really built up.
It’s fine, but I’ve got other colourful palettes that I would reach for a million times over! I’ve found that I absolutely ‘have to’ spray the brush if I want the colours to pop, and again I have other palettes that just don’t need me to do this.
Overall, it’s an okay palette but I would rather have the £10 back that I paid for it.

MAC Prep+Prime Natural Radiance Base Visage

This was a really nice base to use. It added a nice, healthy looking glow to my skin, with this luminosity being visable even beneath a low coverage foundation.
I really feel that this base helped my base apply in a way that looked more ‘put together.’
It also had a slightly tacky feeling to it, so I feel like my makeup will last longer.
I received a sample with purchase, but dependent on price I think that I will repurchase when I run out of this.

MAC Extra Dimension Skin Finish – Soft Frost

I bought the shade ‘Soft Frost’ and really enjoy the glow that it gives. Due to my pale skin it can be difficult to find highlighters that don’t leave a cast on my skin. Due to this I normally go for pretty subtly highlighters, which have a frosty finish. I love the way that this looks on me, and the amount of glow it gives
It also didn’t highlight my skin texture, which I really liked because it is something that I am extremely insecure about.
Overall I definitely recommend this as I feel that it will last forever, and I love the finish that it has.

Illamasqua Beyond Powder – Electric – 5/5

Bought this highlight on sale for £10, and I really enjoy it. It’s soft and applies smoothly, and doesn’t emphasize the texture on my skin.
It gives a lovely and natural highlight that isn’t too in your face, and I like the way that the pinky tone looks on me.
The packaging is also really cute, and the mirror is a very good size.
Overall I would recommend, especially if you can get it on a good deal.

MAC Paint Pot in Painterly – 5/5

I’ve only used this a couple of times but so far I love it. I found that it made eyeshadow application a lot easier, and helped to enhance the overall look of my eyeshadow.
It covered any veins on my veins with only the thinnest layer, and I will definately be using again.

When attempting my first ever cut crease I feel like it helped the colours pop, and helped the process go a lot smoother than normal.

Overall I would definately recommend. I also feel that it will go a long way, as you really do not need much of it.
